PONS Exchange Programme for German Universities
PONS is a network involving various arts subjects that can be studied at German universities. It makes it easy and reduces the formal hurdles for the Department's students (teacher training, bachelor's, master's) to study at one of the participating German universities for one or two semesters, focusing on Germanic Medieval Studies.
Scandinavian Studies (Department of Finnish and Scandinavian Studies) is another subject at the University of Greifswald represented in the exchange programme.
Participation in this exchange programme offers the opportunity to gain an insight into the subject-specific teaching and research areas at other universities and also to get to know the cultural and student life there. The transfer of credits earned at the home university is secured by a Learning Agreement, which is agreed before the start of the stay. Participation in modules and individual classes in the other German studies subjects is also regulated accordingly.
Further information about the participating universities and the formal procedure can be found at PONS [de].
The application deadlines for the following semester are 15 January and 15 June.
The following documents are required for the application: short cover letter, Curriculum Vitae (CV), one to two-page motivation letter, list of previously completed credits - as a PDF file and in printed form.
